A brand new day began as the Civil Service Commission Regional Office No. I (CSC RO I) welcomes its new Assistant Regional Director, Director III Cornelia M. Rillera who assumed office on 3 January 2022. She was welcomed with cheers and roses by her new CSC family led by CSC RO I Regional Director Hedy Jose B. Lardizabal during the Welcome Program which coincided with the first Monday Convocation at CSC RO I on 3 January 2022.

 

Director III Rillera started her career at the Civil Service Commission in 1989 and was one of the pioneers of CSC Cordillera Administrative Region (CSC CAR). Prior to her new assignment, Director III Rillera served as the Assistant Regional Director of CSC CAR. She is an accredited trainer of various CSC Training Programs, among others are, Values Orientation Workshop (VOW), Basic Customer Service Skills Training (BCSST), Public Service Ethics and Accountability (PSEA), SDC Tracks 1-3. She is also a recipient of the Australia Leadership Award and Australia Scholarship with Master of Human Resource Management at the University of Newcastle, Australia.

Director III Rillera is a member of the indigenous people from the Cordillera, being a native of Kalinga. She now resides in Naguilian, La Union and is married to Municipal Councilor Ruperto Rillera, Jr. with whom they have four (4) children. As an amazing mother, her children described her as strict yet loving in so many ways. She always puts her family before herself especially when it comes to taking care of them. Her being a hands-on mom is the very reason why her children are all successful in their chosen professions.

Director III Rillera delivered her message “straight from the heart” during the said program. She enjoined the support of CSC RO I officials and employees to continually uphold excellence and integrity which are among the CSC’s core values. She also advocates the value of teamwork and collaboration in the workplace emphasizing the importance of unity in providing efficient service to the people.

CSC RO I officials and employees are hopeful that with the new Assistant Regional Director, the tradition of prompt, caring and compassionate service provided by CSC RO I will continue and even rise to a new level.
